DAY 2 Wednesday 28th November
Launching of the project and orientation day:
The headmaster welcomes the groups and invites the team leaders and guest students to briefly introduce themselves and their countries : - Bulgarian Students and Team leaders present their School/Country
- Italian students introduce themselves and present their school: Short video
- Italian students present our region with a short video
- Romanian Students and Team leaders present their School/Country
- German Students and Team Leaders present their School/Countr
- French Students and Team Leaders present their School/Country
- Portuguese Students and Team Leaders present their School/Country
Ice Breaking: introduce yourself
All the students split in 6 groups with mixed nationalities; the Italian students show the hosts around to let them know our school.
The groups of students set in classroom to follow classes on Italian Art and the main monuments
The Italian students present images and video on different styles and architectures of Italian Cultural Heritage and act as peer tutors for foreign students. Follow-up: questionnaire
Orientation tour of the school and Exhibition: Partner Teachers meet at school Library to set materials brought by their students. The orientation tour will end at the school library where the exhibition of objects and pictures about all partners cultural heritage will be set
Walking tour of the town: Host students act as guides Starting from the school the groups walk around the town stopping at the main landmarks where the Italian students will give a short description of the monument, the view, the bridge, the harbor; historical town;
Visit to the Local Ethnographic Museum Museo delle Genti D’Abruzzo)
DAY 3 THURSDAY 29th November
Present your country “National Cultural Heritage” with the exhibits students brings from home
Walk through town centre heading for the park and the nearby “Villa Frigerij” .Italian students present the figurative symbol of our region: the Capestrano Warrior probably a king of a pre-Romanic tribe which possesses what are considered the two main human qualities of our forefathers: strength and gentleness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrEihry4Rns
DAY 4 FRIDAY 30th November
TALES OF TRAVELLERS AND WORDS OF POETS
Visit to Ex Aurum and Liberty Villas nearby : Ex Aurum is an interesting example of what is usually defined as “urban archeology”, an example of re-use of an ancient factory of a typical Abruzzo Orange Liquor, now used for exhibitions and cultural events. Visit to the factory circular courtyard and some of its rooms; Italian students read and dramatize some extracts from Ennio Flaiano (a famous playwright from Pescara)
DAY 3 Thursday 29th November
Present your country “National Cultural Heritage” with the exhibits students brings from home. The host country present national songs and dances Italian students sing what is considered almost the anthem of our region, that is “Vola Vola” (Fly Fly)
